We have teamed up with the Outdoor Partnership in Cumbria to run a number of free walking events. These events are specifically aimed at introducing residents of Copeland & Allerdale to our incredible green spaces.
These events include minibus transportation to and from local pick-up points, starting at Whitehaven Library at 10.00am. Details of all pick-up points, timings, and what to wear / fetch will be included in an information pack that is sent out after booking confirmation.
On our circular walk starting from Keswick, we will enjoy a gentle stroll along the shore of Derwent Water. Heading away from the hustle and bustle of town, we will be surrounded by lakes, fields, and fells. We will then make our way up onto Walla Crag, where we can enjoy the lake from a different perspective before returning to our cars.
Expect a mix of paved and unpaved paths.
We will likely be out for around 4 hours, so do bring a lunch and plenty of snacks. Even on a beautiful day it can be pretty cold, so don’t forget your warm layers.
Event Distance – 10km with approx 300m of height gain
Approx Activity Duration – 4 hours
Dogs – Friendly dogs on leads are allowed on this event
