This organised walking event is being planned in support of Trail Magazine’s ‘Mountains for the Mind’ campaign and will be free to attend.
We will start in the village of Baslow and take a steady easy walk up to Baslow edge, where we will pass the famous Eagle stone, once a challenge for young men to climb to prove their worth to the women of the village.
We will follow the edge leading to Froggatt edge and around to White edge, admiring the various shapes of rock as we go round. It’s a good path with a couple of short uphill sections, but mainly a level walk along the edges.
