This walk explores a beautiful area in the North of the Peak District National Park, specifically the Upper Derwent Valley, which is known for its majestic reservoirs, spectacular scenery, peaceful forests, and wild open spaces.

We are heading out for a 14km circular walk past the impressive dam of the Upper Derwent Reservoir, before heading along the side of the picturesque Upper Derwent Reservoir. We will then head up hill on a steady climb to Back Tor with its unusual weathered coarse sandstone tor formations. From here we then follow Derwent Edge South, enjoying the wide views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Finally we return to the carpark by waking along the edge of Ladybower Reservoir. This walk will be taken at a pace, which is comfortable for all the group, so could take us up to 6 hours to complete.
