We have teamed up with the Outdoor Partnership in Cumbria to run a number of free walking events for residents of Copeland and Allerdale, which includes a 10am minibus pickup on the day at Whitehaven Library.
Situated in the Western Lakes Crummock Water is the quieter of the two lakes in the Buttermere Valley. The lake has on its eastern side the mighty Grassmoor fell and the fells of Melbreak on its west. The lake is 4km long, 1km wide and up to 43m deep. Stunning views surround the lake.
The walk is mainly level with no significant hill climbs. The paths follow grass tracks, rough-surfaced tracks and some open fellside. Some parts of the route are boggy and wet.
